Privacy Policy

Effective date: 21 August 2026 · Last updated: 21 August 2026 · Version 1.0

This Privacy Policy explains how AudienceCue ("AudienceCue", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects information when you use our website at audiencecue.app, our Even Hub application for Even Realities G2, and related services (together, the "Service").

AudienceCue is an independent product. It is not owned by Even Realities. We build software that works with Even Realities G2 and Even Hub so presenters can see live audience questions on their glasses.

1. Who this policy covers

  • Presenters who create accounts in the AudienceCue Hub app, run events and manage billing
  • Audience members who join an event with a QR code or 6-character join code (no account required)
  • Website visitors who browse audiencecue.app, help pages or support

2. Information we collect

2.1 Presenter account information

When you create a presenter account we collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Password (stored only as a secure hash; we never store plaintext passwords)
  • Plan type (Free or Pro), subscription status and billing period dates
  • Optional profile updates you choose to save

2.2 Event and Q&A content

To run a live event we process:

  • Event title, presenter display name, event type and duration
  • Join codes, QR links and pairing codes
  • Questions submitted by audience members, vote counts and queue state
  • Presenter controls such as next, previous, skip, save, answered and end event
  • Optional display names if the presenter allows non-anonymous questions
  • Aggregate counters such as audience reached and events used in a billing period

2.3 Audience session information

Audience members do not create AudienceCue accounts. We create a short-lived session token for the event so you can ask and vote. We may store a temporary identifier on your device (for example local storage) so you stay in the same event if you refresh the page.

2.4 Device and technical information

  • IP address, browser type, device type and approximate region derived from network data
  • App version, basic diagnostics and error logs needed to keep the Service reliable
  • G2 connection status surfaced by Even Hub (for example connected or not connected) so we can show presenter guidance. We do not receive continuous GPS location from your glasses for AudienceCue features

2.5 Payments

Paid plans are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on AudienceCue servers. Stripe may collect payment details directly under its own privacy policy. We store subscription status and related billing metadata needed to enforce plan limits.

2.6 Support communications

If you email support@audiencecue.app, privacy@audiencecue.app or legal@audiencecue.app we keep the content of that correspondence so we can help you and improve the Service.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate and secure the Service
  • Authenticate presenters and protect accounts
  • Create events, join codes, QR links and live question queues
  • Display the current question and queue metadata on Even Realities G2
  • Enforce Free and Pro plan limits
  • Process subscriptions and invoices through Stripe
  • Respond to support requests and investigate abuse or outages
  • Improve product reliability, performance and documentation
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use

We do not sell personal information. We do not use audience questions to build advertising profiles. We do not require audience registration.

4. Legal bases (where applicable)

Where data protection laws require a legal basis, we rely on:

  • Performance of a contract when we provide the Service you requested
  • Legitimate interests in securing, operating and improving the Service
  • Consent where required (for example optional marketing emails, if we ever offer them)
  • Legal obligation when we must retain or disclose information under law

5. How we share information

We share information only as needed:

  • Service providers that host infrastructure, databases, email delivery or analytics under contracts that limit their use of data (for example cloud hosting and Stripe)
  • Even Hub / Even Realities platform only to the extent required for the Hub app to run on your device and render content on G2. AudienceCue does not sell your event content to Even Realities
  • Other participants in your event may see questions and votes according to the presenter's settings
  • Legal and safety disclosures if required by law, regulation, legal process or to protect rights, safety and integrity of the Service
  • Business transfers if AudienceCue is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, subject to appropriate protections

6. International processing

We may process information on servers outside your home country, including Australia and other regions used by our hosting and payment providers. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

7. Retention

  • Presenter accounts are kept while the account remains active
  • Event and question data is retained so presenters can review history, enforce plan limits and provide support. Presenters may delete events where the product allows
  • Audience session tokens expire after the event ends or after inactivity
  • Billing records are retained as required for accounting and tax obligations
  • Support emails are retained as long as needed to resolve the request and for records

When information is no longer needed we delete or de-identify it, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures appropriate to the nature of the Service, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls and least-privilege networking for the Hub package. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach that affects your personal information, we will take steps required by applicable law, which may include notifying affected users and regulators.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your account or request deletion of personal information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Receive a copy of certain information in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

Presenters can update profile details in the Hub app. To request account deletion or exercise other rights, email privacy@audiencecue.app from the email on your account. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Audience members generally do not have accounts. If you submitted a question and need help removing it, contact the event presenter or email privacy@audiencecue.app with the event code and enough detail for us to locate the content.

10. Children

AudienceCue is intended for presenters and event audiences in professional, educational and community settings. The Service is not directed to children under 16. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

11. Cookies and similar technologies

The website and Hub app may use local storage, cookies or similar technologies for session continuity, authentication and basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies to track you across unrelated sites for ads.

12. Permissions on Even Hub and G2

The AudienceCue Hub package requests network access to reach AudienceCue servers for auth, events, live questions and billing. Connection to G2 is mediated by Even Hub / Even App. We do not require microphone access, precise location access or push notifications for core AudienceCue features. Any platform permission prompts shown by Even Hub relate to how the glasses platform communicates with your device.

13. Third-party services

  • Stripe for payments: stripe.com/privacy
  • Even Realities / Even Hub for installing and running the Hub app on G2-compatible devices
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that process data on our instructions

Third-party services have their own terms and privacy practices. We encourage you to review them.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, when changes are material, provide additional notice through the Service or by email where appropriate. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
